Dating for teens (14 yrs old) need help please!?!?!?

Wel my daughter is going to be a freashmen next yr and i told her she could go to homecoming and she could start dating boys but it would have to be a.group.date or double.date.. is tht too young?! And theres this guy that asked her out this yr but i told her she needed to wait till high skool... so he is waiting for her.. and they like eachkther alot.. but should i let her date him over the summer,now, or next year? Or is she just too young? Thanks (:
