Y&R: anyone else wish Daniel would have told Billy about Lucy along time ago?

and just legally let him adopt her, Kevin and Phyllis have no say over Daniel's baby legally anyway so who cares if they found out. I know it was for storyline purposes and to drag this story along but still it's a little ridiculous anyone agree?
